Tearful Dream

Tearful Dream is an original 6 × 6 inch mixed media work exploring the strange, shifting imagery of the subconscious. Soft washes of yellow, blue, green, and warm earth tones form overlapping figures that seem to emerge from and dissolve into one another, creating the feeling of a memory or dream that is difficult to fully hold onto.

The delicate transparency of the watercolor contrasts with small, vivid marks and expressive lines, giving the piece an intimate, almost otherworldly quality. Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, Tearful Dream leaves space for the viewer to find their own meaning within its figures and forms.
