Wireless Mesh Controller for Ascent Gate and Door Access Systems
The Security Brands 37-LC1 Ascent Link Controller is a wireless mesh access control controller for compatible Ascent cellular systems. It allows an Ascent-controlled gate, door, reader, mag lock, or electric strike to be added to the system without running long control wiring back to the primary Ascent unit.
The 37-LC1 communicates through the Ascent Link 900 MHz wireless mesh network and is designed to work up to 1,000 feet from a compatible Ascent Link or primary Ascent unit under typical conditions. Once paired, it becomes part of the Ascent access control network and can be managed through Summit Control for cloud-based access control.
This controller includes one relay, one Wiegand input, and three digital inputs. The Wiegand input allows a compatible card reader or access device to report credentials to the Ascent system, while the relay can control a gate operator, door operator, magnetic lock, or electric strike. Digital inputs allow accessory devices to be connected as part of the site’s access control configuration.
The 37-LC1 requires a compatible Ascent primary controller to operate. For longer wireless distances, Security Brands offers the Ascent Link Extend 37-LE1 and Ascent Link starter kits to expand the wireless mesh network.
