I love how gobbler turkeys know they're looking so fine. They know the lady turkeys love those weird beard-things, and they're not shy about strutting. If I had one-tenth of that confidence, I'd be the life of any party. The brushstrokes in this turkey drawing have a lively vitality that give the art real presence, but the overall style feels rooted in tradition—like something that could’ve hung in an old study, right next to a worn leather chair. It’s classic but updated—much like the bird itself: a little wild, a little regal, and always interesting. ;-)
This piece works wherever you want to add a touch of character and a nod to nature. In a home office, it might just inspire some big ideas (or daydreams about autumn mornings). In a nursery, it’s an early introduction to the beauty of the natural world. And in a living room, it has just the right mix of warmth and personality to hold its own. Whether you’re someone who loves the thrill of a good hunt, the quiet satisfaction of conservation work, or just the way a turkey can make you pause and look twice, this print brings that spirit into the room.
