DESCRIPTION

Black with real depth. This solid black scarf from Edinburgh Cashmere, a Scottish heritage brand, is made from pure extra fine cashmere in a dense, true black that is dyed evenly from end to end. It is a black with richness rather than flatness, and it sits as well beside grey and camel as it does over a dark coat.

Woven at a mill with a tradition of more than 250 years, the cloth is smooth and supple, with a neat, clean fringe. Wrap it twice for a fuller line at the collar, fold it flat beneath a lapel, or let it fall open and long.

Dyeing is the first of 35 steps, followed by weaving, washing and finishing, and the final step is done by hand with teasels, a traditional brushing that leaves the cashmere soft and lightly raised. It is a black scarf of real depth, made to be worn for years.
