History: The Eagles played their inaugural season at Brooklyn’s Ebbets Field in 1935, but moved to Newark just one year later. Co-owned and managed by Effa Manley, the first and only woman inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Eagles were a powerhouse of the Negro Leagues, winning the NLWS in 1946. The following year, their home-grown star Larry Doby became the second Black player to break the color barrier and the first in the American League.

Made from genuine wool broadcloth and finished with our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap honors the 1935 Brooklyn Eagles.
