Leave the material in its stock color or create any color scheme you desire since the material absorbs ink and paint very well. We highly recommend Copic markers for this purpose.

Tie on a crab component and then add the material of your choice as a carapace/shell, such as deer hair, flex tubing, or Fiddler Fibers.
