SHOEI engineering and what has improved

SHOEI develops helmet shapes through repeated testing in its large wind tunnel facility. On the Neotec 3, the face cover and shell meet with sculpted side covers that reduce gaps around the closed cover, helping limit wind and rain intrusion. The new design also improves the helmet's overall fit and touring comfort compared with the Neotec II.

• Refined face-cover seal: The eccentric opening axis draws the cover toward the shell as it closes. A center locking system and spring-loaded lock help hold the face cover securely.
• Updated comfort liner: Redesigned cheek pads extend farther toward the rear and contact a wider area for a softer, more secure fit around the cheeks and neck. A lower noise isolator helps reduce wind entering from below.
• Improved ventilation: The upper intake is shaped for easy operation with gloves. A lower intake supports defogging, and the removable filter helps keep dirt and insects out.
• Updated sun visor: The QSV-2 inner sun visor extends 5 mm farther than the QSV-1 used on the previous generation.
• Compact micro-ratchet: The stainless-steel chinstrap buckle is designed for easy fastening with gloves.

Shell, protection, and configuration

The AIM shell combines SHOEI's Advanced Integrated Matrix shell construction with a multi-density EPS liner designed to manage impact energy. The Neotec 3 is DOT certified for the US market. It is a modular helmet with a lift-up face cover for convenient stops. Use the helmet in the configurations and according to the instructions in the included manual.

Shield, sun visor, and airflow

The CNS-3C shield system uses a center lock to improve the shield's contact with its sealing edge. A slightly open position allows air to circulate at low speeds. The shield is Pinlock-ready and an anti-fog sheet is included. The built-in QSV-2 sun visor moves into the rider's view when sunlight changes. Upper and lower intakes work with rear extraction to move air through the helmet.

Comfort and communication

The fully removable interior uses moisture-absorbing, quick-drying fabric in high-sweat areas and soft raised fabric where the liner contacts skin. SHOEI COMLINK integration provides dedicated spaces for speakers and a microphone. The compatible SENA SRL3 communication system is sold separately.

Size chart

How to measure: Wrap a soft tape horizontally around your head about 1 inch above your eyebrows. Move it slightly to find the largest measurement, then use the chart as a starting point. If between sizes, SHOEI advises trying the smaller size first. Confirm snug cheek and crown contact and follow the fitting instructions in the manual. Helmet fit varies by head shape, so try the Neotec 3 on before riding whenever possible.
