The Mercatore Floor Globe in Aquamarine carries the Aquamarine cartography — a light blue-green ocean palette paired with a contemporary political map — on a hand-cut tanganyka hardwood base styled after 16th- and 17th-century period furniture, with a calibrated brass-finished aluminum cradle meridian. The twenty-four-inch UV-resistant sphere mounts to the cradle, which allows left-right rotation and side-to-side pivot through 360 degrees without moving the base.

The political map reads with over a thousand named places and points of interest. Each country is labeled in its native language with an English translation alongside — Cyrillic for Russia, original-language renderings for other major countries, the same treatment across every named place. The cartography is the current edition reviewed by our cartographic team. The UV-resistant sphere preserves color and clarity over years of room exposure.

The base draws four perimeter columns plus a central column up from a stepped circular pedestal in deep-brown tanganyka hardwood — a classical column profile with horizontal banding that reads as traditional period furniture from across the room and as a working geographic reference up close. The calibrated meridian carries numbered markings along its inner edge. Assembly is straightforward (typically under five minutes); a one-year limited warranty applies.
