A fine pair of scissors with several centuries of craftsmanship behind them. Handmade by blacksmiths in Tanegashima, Japan, using techniques dating to the 16th century, each pair is individually forged from steel and iron. Their delicate, exceptionally sharp blades are equally suited to left- and right-handed hands, making light work of paper, fabric, thread, and string. The traditional black finish offers added resistance to rust.
Care: Keep dry and occasionally apply a little light oil to the blades and screw, wiping gently with a soft cloth. Avoid cutting thick materials, food, plants, or wood. Professional sharpening is recommended.
