Dahlia ‘Skyfall’ is a distinctive collarette dahlia that brings structure, movement and pollinator appeal into the summer garden. Its blooms feature a single outer ring of soft lilac to pink petals, often deepening toward raspberry tones, creating a gentle but expressive colour shift across each flower. At the centre, a smaller inner collar of petals surrounds an open, golden-eyed disc. This open structure is not only visually striking but also highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, adding natural life and activity to planting schemes.

The flowers are around 10 cm across and are held on strong, upright stems above a compact, bushy plant that typically reaches 60–90 cm in height. Its well-balanced growth habit makes it suitable for borders, containers, and mixed garden planting without becoming dominant. From midsummer through to the first frosts, ‘Skyfall’ produces a steady succession of blooms. Its open flower form encourages continuous flowering and makes it especially reliable throughout the season.

In the garden, this variety offers a softer, more natural look compared to fully double dahlias. It works beautifully in cottage gardens, informal borders and wildlife-friendly plantings where texture and variation are preferred over uniformity. Easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil, Dahlia ‘Skyfall’ establishes quickly in spring and responds well to regular deadheading, rewarding gardeners with prolonged flowering into autumn.

For those looking for a lighter, pollinator-friendly dahlia with elegant structure and subtle colour shifts, ‘Skyfall’ is a refined and versatile choice.
