Tulip ‘Boot Camp’ is a distinctive late spring variety that immediately stands out for its unusual texture and form. Unlike standard tulips, its petals are deeply fringed, almost feathered, giving each bloom a soft, finely detailed appearance. The flowers open in a creamy ivory shade with gentle warmth, and as they mature, the fringed edges become more defined, adding depth and interest.

This variety belongs to the fringed tulip group, known for their finely cut, crystal-like petal edges that bring an extra layer of texture to planting schemes. Each bloom is large and well-formed, with a sculptural quality that holds attention without appearing overly showy.

The flowers are carried on strong, upright stems that support the weight of the blooms well, even in less sheltered positions. In the garden, ‘Boot Camp’ adds structure and contrast among smoother-flowered varieties. It also performs very well as a cut flower, with a good vase life and a distinctive look that works beautifully in arrangements.
