If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual pinks and whites, Ranunculus Romance™ ‘Gascogne’ offers a colour that stands out in a quiet, understated way. The blooms sit in a soft lavender-purple tone with a hint of lilac, shifting slightly with the light. It’s a balanced, elegant shade that adds interest without overpowering the rest of the planting.

The flowers open into full, tightly layered rosettes, with that familiar ranunculus shape but on a larger, more refined scale. As part of the Romance series, ‘Gascogne’ has been developed for stronger stems, better uniformity and reliable performance both in the garden and as a cut flower.

Why gardeners choose it
Large, full blooms with a classic, rose-like form
Soft lavender-purple colour with subtle lilac tones
A less common shade that combines well with whites, blush, apricot and deeper purples
Strong stems that hold up well in the garden and when cut
Excellent vase life, making it ideal for arrangements
Each corm produces multiple stems for a generous display

About the Romance series
Not grown from seed, but selected and propagated as clones
Bred for larger flowers and more consistent results
Stronger stems and improved reliability compared to standard ranunculus

Ranunculus ‘Gascogne’ works well in borders and cutting gardens alike, offering a softer alternative to brighter colours while still bringing something a little different to the overall scheme.
