Astrantia ‘Red Button’ is a beautiful perennial that brings rich colour and delicate texture to the summer garden. Its elegant rose-red flowers are carried on slender stems above fresh green foliage, creating a soft, natural display that lasts for weeks.

The finely detailed blooms feature the classic Astrantia shape, with pincushion-like centres surrounded by layers of papery bracts in warm shades of rose and crimson. Together they create a light, airy effect that weaves effortlessly through mixed borders.

With its neat, clump-forming habit, ‘Red Button’ is easy to include in a wide range of planting schemes. It looks equally at home in cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly borders and woodland-style plantings, adding colour without overwhelming surrounding plants.

The flowers attract bees and other beneficial insects throughout the season and are also excellent for cutting. Their delicate appearance makes them equally suitable for fresh bouquets and dried arrangements.

Grow in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Reliable, long flowering and low maintenance, Astrantia ‘Red Button’ is a wonderful choice for gardeners looking for a perennial that combines elegance with easy care.
