Pollinator Friendly Bulb Collection combines 113 bulbs and corms across five complementary varieties, providing a practical way to add colour and pollinator-friendly flowers to beds, borders and naturalised areas. Early crocuses begin the display, followed by English bluebells and then vivid camassia and two distinctive ornamental alliums, extending flowering interest from early spring into early summer.

Plant during autumn, matching each variety to suitable conditions for the best results. The alliums prefer well-drained ground, with Allium giganteum best in full sun, while camassia can tolerate soil that retains some moisture. English bluebells are particularly suited to humus-rich soil in partial or dappled shade. Planting in groups or drifts will create greater visual impact and help suitable varieties establish natural-looking colonies over time.

Collection contains 113 bulbs and corms:

  • Allium giganteum Bulbs – 3 bulbs
Impressive spherical lilac-purple flower heads are held high on strong stems from May to June, adding architectural structure to sunny borders while attracting pollinators and providing excellent cut flowers.
  • Allium Siculum Nectaroscordum Flower Bulbs – 20 bulbs
Distinctive nodding, bell-shaped flowers in soft pink, cream and green tones are followed by upright seed heads, giving this hardy perennial a long season of decorative interest.
  • Camassia Quamash Flower Bulbs – 20 bulbs
Vivid blue star-shaped flowers are carried on upright stems from May to June, making an effective choice for informal borders and naturalised grassy areas while providing flowers attractive to pollinators.
  • Crocus Species Flower Bulb Mix – 50 mixed corms
Compact, early-flowering crocuses provide contrasting colour from as early as January and useful early forage for pollinators, with generous drifts particularly effective in lawns, borders and rockeries.
  • English Bluebell Flower Bulbs – 20 bulbs
Fragrant, nodding blue bells create a traditional spring woodland display from April to May and are ideal for establishing beneath deciduous trees and shrubs or in other partially shaded areas.

With varieties suited to different areas of the garden, this carefully balanced mix can be used to establish layers of colour through borders, grassy areas and woodland-style planting. Leave naturalising varieties undisturbed where possible so they can settle into increasingly effective displays in suitable conditions.
