A taveet name necklace (also spelled taweet or taweez): your name in Gurmukhi, engraved on a taveet pendant and worn on an adjustable black thread. Type your name in English, pick a Punjabi font and see a live preview before you order.
In Punjabi culture, a taveet (ਤਵੀਤ) is a small pendant traditionally worn on a black thread (kaali dori). Ours is made as jewelry: a modern way to wear your name in Punjabi.
Is it gold or gold-plated?
Gold-plated. It is stainless steel with 18K gold PVD plating, not gold all the way through. The silver option is stainless steel with silver PVD plating.
How big is the taveet?
Medium is 2.15 x 3 cm. Large is 2.5 x 3.5 cm.
How long is the black thread?
It is adjustable. Choose 55, 65 or 75 cm.
I can't type in Punjabi. Is that OK?
Yes. Type your name in English and the page shows it in Gurmukhi, or type it in Gurmukhi yourself. We engrave exactly what the preview shows, so please check every letter.
Can I wear it in water?
It is water-resistant. For the longest shine, take it off to swim, shower and sleep.
When will it arrive?
Each taveet is handmade after you order. Making and shipping times are in the Shipping section on this page.
