Is it gold or gold-plated?
Gold-plated. It is stainless steel with 18K gold PVD plating: a thin, hard layer of gold colour bonded to the steel, not gold all the way through. The silver option is stainless steel with silver PVD plating.

Which photo works best?
Take the photo from straight above, in good light, with the writing on white or light paper.

Do you change the writing?
No. We engrave the handwriting as it is, not in a font.
