Inspiration
The Corvenly Flush Mount Ceiling Light started from the low stone cellars of old Italian farmhouses, where round wheels of aged cheese hang in a row from a single metal rail under the ceiling. Over the months their pale rinds dry out and turn rough and pitted, and a wooden peg holds the rail up at the center. We kept that row of round, pitted shapes on one straight bar, cut them from travertine instead, and set the whole thing close to the ceiling the way the cellar rail was.
Natural travertine
The shades are cut from natural travertine. Their banding, color and open pores differ on every piece, so the four shades on one light will not match exactly.

Can it go over a kitchen island with an 8 ft ceiling?
Yes. It drops only 24cm/9.4″, so under an 8 ft ceiling the shades sit about 50″ above a standard 36″ counter, and the 91cm/35.8″ bar fits over an island of about 5–6 ft.
Are the shades real travertine?
Yes. Each shade is cut from natural travertine, so the banding, color and pores vary from shade to shade. Dust them with a dry cloth and keep acidic cleaners off the stone.
Does light come through the stone?
No. Travertine is solid, so the light goes down through the opening at the bottom of each shade onto the counter or table, and the rim glows warm around it.
Are bulbs included, and how is it installed?
Yes. It comes with four E26 or E27 bulbs in warm 3000K light. E26 is the standard screw base used in the US. It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.
