Inspiration
The Wrenmere Pendant Lamp started from the woven wicker covers set over plates and pie dishes on summer porch tables to keep the flies off. They were shallow domes of cane with a wavy, scalloped rim, and when you lifted one the light came through the weave in small gaps. We turned that cover upside down into a lamp shade, kept the soft scalloped edge, and hung it from a thin gold chain. Lit from inside, the light falls out of the open bottom and the weave throws a loose pattern on the ceiling around it.
Handwoven natural rattan
The shade is woven by hand from natural rattan. The tone of the rattan and the spacing of the weave differ slightly on every shade, so no two look exactly the same.

Which size should I choose?
The Small (Ø 15.7″ / 40cm) suits a breakfast nook, a bedroom, or a row of two or three over a kitchen island. The Medium (Ø 19.7″ / 50cm) fits over a round or square dining table for four. The Large (Ø 23.6″ / 60cm) works over a longer dining table or in a living room or entryway with more ceiling height.
Is the rattan real?
Yes. The shade is woven by hand from natural rattan, so its tone and weave vary slightly from shade to shade.
Are bulbs included?
Yes. It comes with three E12 or E14 bulbs in warm 3000K light. This is a small candelabra base, not a standard E26 screw base, so use the same type when you replace them.
Does it need to be hardwired?
Yes. It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation. The 12cm/4.7″ canopy covers the box, and the hanging height can be adjusted on the 50cm/19.7″ chain during installation.
