Inspiration
The Nacelora Table Lamp started from the small towers children build on the beach at low tide: a smooth stone stood on its end, with a shell balanced carefully on top. We kept that same stacking, a tall rounded stone below and a cap of shell above, and pinned the top with a small round knob. One shade is pieced from little squares of shell in pink and pearl, the other from overlapping rounds, like two different finds from the same walk. Lit, the shell glows from inside while the stone stays quiet underneath.
Natural travertine and shell
The base is natural travertine and the shade is made from natural shell. The stone's pores and color bands, and the color and markings of each piece of shell, differ on every lamp, so no two look exactly the same.
