The Rosethorne Flush Mount Ceiling Light started from the plaster ceiling roses in old townhouses, the round molded flowers set into the ceiling around each light. We imagined one of those medallions with real roses growing out of it: a few blooms on curling stems, with leaves along the way, circling a single glass flower at the center. Everything stays close to the ceiling, the way the plaster did. Lit, the glass throws a ring of light across the ceiling like petals opening around the roses.
