Inspiration
The Cottavie Pendant Lamp started from the woven raffia sun hats and market baskets of Mediterranean summer villages, and from the scalloped awnings over old cottage shop windows. We gave the shade a ring of rounded petal panels, each edged in a darker band so the shape reads clearly from across the room, and topped it with a turned wooden finial like the knob on an old bedpost. Lit, the raffia weave glows a warm straw color and the light falls in a soft circle below.
