The Avelisse Pendant Lamp started from old gramophone horns and the flared bell of a brass trumpet, shapes that open wide from a narrow neck. We drew the shade the same way and covered it in thin pieces of natural shell, so the surface shows a soft, pearly patchwork. A slim chrome frame holds it from above on three curved legs, like the stand of an old horn. Lit, the shell glows warm from inside while a bright ring of light opens beneath the wide rim.
