Inspiration
The Merewick Pendant Lamp started from striped paper lanterns at summer festivals and old candy jars, where thin bands of color run from top to bottom and meet at a single point. We made the shade in white glass with colored stripes drawn from the crown down to the base, so they gather into a small star underneath. It comes in two shapes, a rounded lantern and a wider, flatter globe. Lit, the white glass glows evenly and the stripes stand out like the ribs of a paper lantern.

Which shape should I choose?
The Lantern is compact, so it suits a bedroom, a breakfast nook, or a row of two or three over a kitchen island. The wider Globe works as a single pendant over a dining table or in an entryway.
Which color should I choose?
Red gives the most playful, retro look. Blue is softer and fits coastal rooms. Coffee is the most neutral and pairs well with wood and mid-century furniture.
How high should I hang it?
Over a table or kitchen island, hang the bottom about 75–90cm/30–36″ above the surface; the cord adjusts up to 150cm/59″. When hanging several Lanterns in a row, space them about 60–75cm/24–30″ apart.
What kind of light does it give?
Soft, even ambient light. The enclosed white glass spreads the light in all directions with no visible bulb. A 3000K bulb is included; for replacements use an E26 or E27 LED bulb.
