The Redgrave Wall Sconce started from the turned wooden candle brackets on the paneled walls of old English cottages, where a single candle sat on a carved arm beside the fireplace. We kept that turned shape for the arm and stem, and set them on a shaped wooden plate the way those brackets were fixed to the wall. A small shade covered in pale ferns sits where the flame once burned, and a short beaded chain hangs below to switch it on. Lit, the shade glows green-gold and the leaves show through the fabric.
