Inspiration
The Selandro Pendant Lamp started from the way a shaving curls off a hand plane, thin enough to bend and let light through. We cut wood veneer into long bands and set each one at an angle around a low ring, so they overlap like the turns of a spiral shell or a seed head starting to open. When the light is on, it comes out through the gaps between the bands and through the veneer itself, which glows a warmer amber than the wood looks by day.

Which size should I choose?
Pick a pendant about half to two-thirds the width of the table below it. Small 50cm/19.7″ suits a bedroom or a dining table up to about 90cm/35″; Medium 60cm/23.6″ and Large 70cm/27.6″ suit tables of 90–120cm/35–47″; X-Large 80cm/31.5″ fits a large dining table or an open living room.
How is it installed, and how high should it hang?
It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box; we recommend a licensed electrician. Over a dining table, hang the bottom about 75–90cm/30–36″ above the tabletop. The cord adjusts up to 150cm/59″.
What kind of light does it give?
Warm ambient light. Light passes through the veneer and the gaps between the bands, spreading outward and down through the open bottom, so it lights the room more than a single task area.
Which bulb should I use?
A warm-light bulb is included. For replacements use an E26 or E27 LED bulb at 3000K; LED stays cool next to the wood veneer.
