How Is the Element Steel Base Kit Installed?
Installation begins with a properly prepared and level site.
The general installation process includes:
- Level and prepare the area where the greenhouse will be installed.
- Position the steel base and confirm that it is square and properly aligned.
- Mark the locations for the ground anchors.
- Move the base aside and dig the required anchor holes using a post-hole digger or auger.
- Attach the anchors to the underside of the steel base.
- Reposition the base and verify that it remains level and square.
- Fill the anchor holes with quick-setting concrete or a similar suitable concrete mix to secure the foundation.
Once the anchors have been properly secured, the greenhouse frame can be installed onto the steel base according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Do I Need a Concrete Slab?
No. A full concrete slab is not required when using the Grandio Element Steel Base Kit.
Instead, the system secures the greenhouse using individual ground anchors placed into concrete-filled post holes. This approach uses considerably less concrete than a traditional slab and can make installation faster, less expensive, and more practical for many backyard greenhouse projects.
Please note that while a full slab is not required, concrete is still used around the individual ground anchors.
