Prep & Application Overview

Surface preparation

Remove dust, contamination, and loose coatings. Painted surfaces should be removed where moisture exposure may occur.

Prime with X-Bond Liquid

Apply X-Bond Liquid to prepare the substrate and maximize adhesion.

Scratch coat

Apply a scratch coat using approximately X-Bond Liquid to X-Bond Stone at a 1:2 ratio.

Leveling pass

Trowel the leveling layer using approximately Liquid, Additive, and Stone at a 1:1:2 ratio.

Decorative skim coats

Apply 1–2 tight skim coats and burnish to achieve the signature Polished Bond decorative effect.

Final sealing

Protect the finish using Titan Glossy or Satin Stone depending on the desired appearance and durability.
