Alessi Taio Pizza Wheel
18/10 stainless steel pizza cutter with AISI 420 steel blade, designed by Valerio Sommella
The Alessi Taio Pizza Wheel gives you a compact, substantial cutter for slicing pizza cleanly at the table or counter. Designed by Valerio Sommella, its polished 18/10 stainless steel body wraps around a hardened AISI 420 steel wheel, creating a single sculptural form that feels secure in the hand and easy to guide through crust.
Why Order from Design & Grace
Authorized Alessi retailer: Design & Grace is an authorized Alessi retailer, so you receive a genuine Taio with Alessi's 24-month manufacturer warranty against product defects.
Ships from Texas: Your Alessi order is carefully packed and shipped from our Texas facility.
A better table tool: Taio gives a familiar kitchen essential the weight, finish, and compact form of a piece you will want to keep close at hand.
Built Around the Cutting Wheel
Valerio Sommella shaped Taio so the polished stainless steel body curves around the circular blade rather than attaching it to a conventional handle. That keeps the tool compact while giving your hand a broad surface to grip and control.
The AISI 420 steel blade is designed for the actual cutting work, while the surrounding 18/10 stainless steel form provides structure and a polished finish that suits serving at the table.
Signature Features
AISI 420 steel blade: Provides the hardness and edge needed for clean pizza cutting.
18/10 stainless steel body: Gives Taio a durable, substantial structure with a bright polished finish.
Compact curved form: Keeps the cutter close to the hand for controlled pressure through crust and toppings.
Integrated blade protection: The surrounding body partially shields the wheel when the cutter is not in use.
Valerio Sommella design: Taio turns a straightforward kitchen tool into a compact sculptural object without complicating its use.
Engravable: The polished stainless steel surface is suitable for personalization through Alessi's engraving service.
From Our Founder
"Taio is a much more satisfying pizza cutter than the typical handled wheel. It sits firmly in the hand, gives you good control through the crust, and the polished steel body makes it feel substantial enough to bring straight to the table."
