Built Around the Bowl
The Assistent Original works differently from a conventional planetary stand mixer. The 7-liter stainless steel bowl rotates while the roller and dough knife work from above, leaving the bowl open so you can add ingredients and watch the mixture develop without repeatedly stopping the machine.
The dough roller is the signature Ankarsrum tool, applying steady pressure against the side of the bowl as dough develops. The included dough hook gives you an alternative kneading style when working with heavier or denser bread doughs.
