Wendy Lichtensteiger

The sperm whale dives deeper into the dark than any creature on Earth, guided only by instinct and sound — for the quiet ones, the deep thinkers, the ones most at home beneath the surface.

This Sperm Whale sculpture is made just for you — individually carved from solid hardwood by Vermont artist Wendy Lichtensteiger, hand-painted, finished with a special patina, and signed by the artist on the back. Carved in an unhurried, horizontal glide, this sculpture is mounted on a sleek steel base — a quiet, modern counterpoint to the whale's weight and stillness.

• Size: approximately 24" in length
• One of a kind: slight variations in color and texture are natural, and part of the handmade charm
• See it first: we'll send photos of your exact sculpture for your approval before it ships — because every one is a little different, and we want you to love yours before it ever leaves the studio.

Due to the overwhelming response on Instagram, we are no longer taking new whale orders at this time. If you'd love one and want to be notified when we reopen, please contact us.

A striking complement to the wall plaques for anyone building out a fuller whale collection.
