Wendy Lichtensteiger

One of the rarest whales in the world, with fewer than 400 left today — gentle, slow-moving, and quietly remarkable. A whale worth protecting, and worth remembering.

This hand-carved Right Whale wall plaque is made just for you — individually carved from solid hardwood by Vermont artist Wendy Lichtensteiger, hand-painted, finished with a special patina, and signed by the artist on the back. Each whale ships ready to hang, complete with mounting hardware, and can be made facing left or right to suit your space.

• Sizes: Mini (15"L x 4"W x 2" thick), Small (24"L x 6"W x 2" thick), Large (34"L x 9"W x 2-2.5" thick)
• One of a kind: slight variations in color and texture are natural, and part of the handmade charm
• See it first: we'll send photos of your exact whale for your approval before it ships — because every one is a little different, and we want you to love yours before it ever leaves the studio.

Due to the overwhelming response on Instagram, we are no longer taking new whale orders at this time. If you'd love one and want to be notified when we reopen, please contact us.

Right Whales are especially striking paired as a set — ask us about a cow and calf (mother and calf) grouping for your space.
