Hoya 'Black Margin'

Product Description: The Hoya ‘Black Margin’ is an eye-catching and unique variety prized for its striking foliage and charming vining growth habit. Its thick, waxy leaves have a deep green center edged with a bold, almost-black margin, giving this plant an elegant, dramatic look. When mature, this Hoya can produce clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers, adding a touch of delicate beauty to its dark-edged leaves. Known for being relatively low-maintenance, the Hoya 'Black Margin' makes an excellent choice for hanging baskets, shelves, or as a trailing centerpiece in any plant collection.

Plant Care:

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight but avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.
• Water: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry. Hoyas are more tolerant of underwatering than overwatering.
• Humidity: Enjoys higher humidity but can thrive in average household conditions. Mist the plant occasionally or use a humidity tray for best results.
• Temperature: Optimal temperatures are between 60-80°F (16-27°C). Protect from drafts and cold temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
• Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally one designed for cacti or succulents, with added perlite for aeration.
• Fertilization: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding during the fall and winter.

Pet Friendliness: The Hoya 'Black Margin' is generally considered non-toxic to pets. However, while it’s not classified as toxic, it’s still best to prevent pets from chewing on the leaves to avoid any potential digestive issues.

This striking Hoya is perfect for anyone looking to add an elegant, low-maintenance plant with a bit of dramatic flair to their indoor collection.
