Sometimes the beauty in a piece of ceramics is found in the glaze.  This has a lovely two-tone style, with the interior a solid pale blue, and the outside a complex brown that is mottled black in places.

It reminds us of petrified wood, and when sitting on the shelf, sometimes the material is hard to discern, but it is solid porcelain, well crafted, and easy to use.
