This glaze got us.  It’s so unlike any other green we have seen used on teaware here in China.  There is a natural element to it that fades and strengthens in certain areas, not a solid green, but the green of bronze subjected to eons of time.

The shape of this hand-held gaiwan is tall and angular, providing an ample safe place for the fingers to rest as the teapot fills up with hot water.  We are always fond of these “easy” gaiwans because they are just that, beginner friendly, and easy to use.
