Note that the mechanism is not the same as Qiyi's earlier gear cube. The slice gears rotate by 5/6 of a revolution with each move (same as the classic Gear Cube), while the previous Qiyi Gear Cube has the slice gears rotate by 4/6 of a revolution with each move.
