Cryptanthus Ruby Star is a stunning Earth Star Bromeliad with beautiful pink magenta striping along its edges. In the right conditions, Cryptanthus will bloom inconspicuous flowers in the heart of the rosette, the genus name comes from the Greek cryptos (hidden) and anthos (flower). 

Light: These plants thrive in bright indirect light, but avoid direct sun, as the intense rays can cause bleaching.

Water: These plants enjoy evenly moist soil, but do not like to be soggy. Water once the soil is dry about one to two inches down in its container.

Humidity: These plants come from a tropical climate and appreciate any additional humidity you can offer.
