Yonex Badminton String BG80
Built for players who want to feel every hit. The BG80 pairs a thin, high-tension gauge with Yonex's signature braided nylon construction to deliver crisp repulsion and fast shuttle response, whether you're grinding through drills or closing out a rally at the net.
Yonex has strung the world's top players for decades, and the BG series is the string most club and tournament players reach for first. The BG80 sits in that lineage as a quick, responsive all-court string.
Why Players Choose the BG80
Quick Repulsion
The 0.68mm gauge is thinner than the classic BG65, giving the string more flex on impact and a faster rebound off the shuttle for sharper clears and smashes.
Vectran-Reinforced Construction
A special braided, oval-shaped high polymer nylon core is reinforced with high-modulus Vectran fiber, adding stability under tension without sacrificing feel.
Consistent Feel Set After Set
The braided outer layer resists notching longer than a smooth-coat string, so tension holds truer through extended play.

FAQ Section
Q1: What gauge is the Yonex BG80? It's a 0.68mm gauge string, thinner than the BG65 (0.70mm) for a faster, more responsive feel.
Q2: How long is one set? Each set is 10 meters, enough to string one racket.
Q3: Is BG80 the same as BG80 Power? No. BG80 Power uses a different high-intensity nylon and Vectran blend tuned for smash power; the standard BG80 is tuned for quick repulsion and all-court play. We carry both as separate products.
Q4: What tension should I string this at? Most recreational and club players string between 18-24 lbs; advanced players may go higher, up to their racket's maximum rated tension.
Q5: Does this come pre-cut or on a reel? This listing is a single 10-meter set for one racket. We also carry Yonex string reels for players who restring frequently.
Q6: What colors are available? Yellow, White, and Royal Blue.
Q7: How long will this string last? Durability depends on play frequency and swing style, but the braided nylon-Vectran construction is built to hold tension through extended everyday use.
Q8: Do you ship this from the US? Yes, all orders ship from our warehouse in Edison, NJ.
