Design: Hidden Halibut
Artist: Brent Smith
Hidden Halibut, designed by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Brent Smith from Cape Mudge, invites you into the quiet mystery of the ocean floor. At the heart of the design, a halibut rests among anemones, sunfish, and starfish, surrounded by the movement and abundance of underwater life.
This piece captures the richness of the marine world, where strength, stillness, and hidden beauty exist beneath the surface. The halibut’s grounded presence contrasts beautifully with the surrounding sea life, creating a design that feels both powerful and peaceful.
With its bold composition and intricate coastal imagery, Hidden Halibut brings depth, story, and ocean-inspired beauty to any indoor or outdoor space.
