SIL54 is our special shielding paint for interior use with a minimalist formula without preservatives

This paint has a coarse pigment size of 80 µm and forms a rather soft film. As a dispersion silicate paint, we recommend its use indoors on walls, ceilings, and floors. Due to its low acrylic content, it adheres well to problematic substrates. Apply with a paint roller. This paint is the right choice if you want to avoid preservatives and are willing to accept limitations in terms of application and hardness. TÜV-SÜD certification

We have all our shielding paints monitored by TÜV-SÜD. The test standard is TM-09 (testing for health-related ingredients and emissions, product and process monitoring, control of input materials). This means that this paint is preservative-free, low-emission (VOC), plasticizer-free (SVOC), and solvent-free. You can find the certificate above in the Downloads section.

Shielding attenuation HF & LF

This shielding paint shields high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF) and has been tested from 600 MHz to 40 GHz in accordance with the IEEE Std 299-2006 standard. Since high frequencies at 40 GHz are not commonly used yet, the shielding attenuation values we specify always apply at 1 GHz.

At 4 sqm/l (thick coat): Single coat 44 dB | Double coat 53 dB
At 8 sqm/l (thin coat): Single coat 35 dB | Double coat 44 dB

This shielding paint with an electrically conductive surface also shields low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF).

Ready for 5G: Some companies offer “special” 5G shielding products. This product shields 5G frequencies even without advertising!;In the shielding diagrams, you will find two gray bars with the 5G frequency spectra FR1 (600 MHz - 6 GHz) and FR2 (24 GHz - 40 GHz).

Laboratory & expert report of shielding attenuation up to 40 GHz

We have already invested in our own professional EMV laboratory years ago. We not only use it to create our laboratory screening reports but also to check each batch daily.
