This is a beautiful but straightforward carved onyx cross.  It is a translucent cream-and-tan color and would look great on a home shelf or on a desk at the office.

For centuries, White Onyx has been a really popular stone.  The Greeks used it many years ago not just for sculptures but also for jewelry.  White Onyx is also considered a precious stone.  To increase the value of this stone, it is heated and then dyed, which enhances its beauty. This stone also retains the memory of physical events that occurred around a person.
