Gold or silver?
Both are the same fine pewter base with a plated finish, so it's purely a metal preference. Gold reads slightly warmer and more classic. Silver is cooler and works particularly well layered with other silver pieces. Same price either way.
What does 17.5" look like?
It sits at the collarbone on most people: long enough to layer with a shorter chain or a choker, short enough to sit above a neckline rather than disappear into it.
