20 x 20 in (50.8 x 50.8 cm): We usually choose an apple because of how it looks on the outside. Is it shiny? Is it perfect? No bruises? But Clara painted these apples open. She wants us to see what is inside.

And maybe we need to do that more with people too.

Clara's outside is the first thing people see. Her disability, the way she walks, the way she moves, the fact that she can't speak. But if you stop there, oh boy, you are missing A LOT.

We all have so much inside that people cannot see at first. Dreams, fears, kindness, crazy ideas, love, stories, battles we are fighting.

So let Tender Apples remind you to look a little deeper. At others, but also at yourself. Be tender. Don't judge too fast. The best part might be the part you cannot see yet. 🍎❤️

Fruits is Clara's colorful, joyful collection. Fruits look simple, but they are not. They have shapes, lines, seeds, leaves, shadows, so many little details. Clara spent more than six weeks studying real fruit before she started painting, and then she made each one her own way. These paintings carry a little reminder: never underestimate your limits. Try. Create. Keep dreaming. Keep going.
