Mandarins were part of Clara's school years in Italy. At break time, there were ALWAYS mandarins. And Clara used to steal one! Almost every day she would come home from school with a mandarin she had saved.

Maybe that is why this one feels so Clara to me. Sweet, cute, delicate, and then BOOM. There is so much power inside. People have looked at Clara her whole life and thought she couldn't do much. Boy, did she surprise them!

Fruits is Clara's colorful, joyful collection. Fruits look simple, but they are not. They have shapes, lines, seeds, leaves, shadows, so many little details.
