The exterior has a subtle sheen, while the interior features a softly lustrous rim and a matte base, decorated with nuanced reddish-brown patterns created by straw during firing. This distinctive design is known as the Botamochi pattern.

Each Bizen ware piece is unique, with natural variations in shape and character. The measurements provided are for reference only, and as each piece is individually made, we invite you to look forward to discovering the one that finds its way to you.

Over time, the slightly rough surface gradually becomes smoother with use, allowing the piece to develop its own unique character. With care and everyday use, make it your very own piece of Bizen ware.
