An alphanumeric line along the bottom of the display spells out each setting in plain words, so you don't need to memorize codes or dig out a manual. Before the game starts, the clock shows the complete time control so both players can confirm it.

Once TDs get used to the SilverBack, they say no other clock makes time adjustments and penalties this easy. The TD function lets a director add or subtract time for either player without reprogramming the game.
