The AstroMaster 90AZ Lunar Edition is designed to make astronomy simple, accessible, and rewarding. With a 90mm aperture and fully coated optics, this refractor delivers bright, detailed views of the Moon’s craters and surface features, along with clear views of planets and land-based objects. The lightweight design and no-tool setup mean you can begin observing in minutes, while the manual mount provides smooth, intuitive control.
Manual Alt-Azimuth Mount
Navigate the sky with a pan-and-tilt (Alt-Az) control with a clutch for smooth, accurate pointing. Move the telescope up/down and left/right to easily track objects as they move across the sky, making it simple for beginners to follow the Moon and planets.
Essential Accessories
The AstroMaster 90AZ Lunar Edition comes complete with essential accessories to enhance your observing experience right out of the box. Two eyepieces (20mm and 10mm) provide both low- and high-power views, while an erect image diagonal delivers a comfortable viewing angle for both celestial and terrestrial observing. A red-dot finderscope helps you quickly locate and center objects in the sky.
Smartphone Adapter
Capture images of what you see in the eyepiece with the included smartphone adapter. With its light, rigid frame, this accessory allows you to connect any smartphone to any telescope eyepiece with an outside diameter of 45mm or smaller. The additional magnification from the eyepiece allows your phone to capture high-quality images and video. The adapter installs easily by clamping over the eyepiece, and tightening knobs securely hold your phone in place.
Moon Filter
Reduce the Moon’s bright glare so you can see more details on the lunar surface and observe more comfortably. It only takes a second or two to transform your regular eyepiece into one suited for moongazing. Simply thread this filter onto the bottom of your eyepiece, and you’re ready to go. The Moon Filter is also great for observing Venus or bright terrestrial scenes.
Moon Map
This quality two-sided map helps you learn more about our neighboring world, the Moon. Navigate the lunar landscape confidently and identify craters and other surface features you see in your telescope. On the reverse side, the map highlights the most exciting lunar regions to explore with close-up photos and detailed information. The Moon Map is waterproof, tear-resistant, and folds into a compact size for easy transport to your next observing session.
Perfect for Beginners
Designed with ease of use in mind, the AstroMaster 90AZ Lunar Edition is an ideal entry-level telescope for anyone looking to explore the night sky. Its intuitive controls, quick setup, and included accessories make it easy to start observing right away—no experience required.
