Reviews:

We bought our Canadian Spa Thunder Bay hot tub from our local Homebase at a very competitive price and were offered 3 years' interest free credit. We chose the Thunder Bay over other similar priced models because of the layout and orientation, which perfectly suited our family and our preferred location in terms of sunshine, garden and night sky view, etc. but also because of the amazing features which are all included in the package, e.g. 5 full seats and 1 lounger, Balboa 3 kw heater and controls, 2 x 5hp pumps, 44 powerful jets, waterproof sound system with twin pop-up speakers, multi-function LED lights and an angled cover with a quality top mounted cover lifter to name just a few!
Canadian Spa hot tubs were recommended to us by family members who have enjoyed two slightly different models. We haven't been disappointed! Xavier has been most helpful right from the start of our research process, and was always available to answer our numerous questions.
Having made the purchase at Homebase, Canadian Spa immediately took over the order and managed the delivery process. We used a local electrician to install the 32 amp electrical supply and we decided to lay a 6 inch reinforced concrete slab in our decking to avoid any risk of movement or noise vibration. We also took great pride in laying the slab to the exact size of the hot tub base matching the curved corners so that it looked very professional and tidy when finished! Whilst we were doing all of this, Canadian Spa held the hot tub at their warehouse until we were 100% ready.
On delivery day, having spoken to Tony about the access, we hoped everything would be relatively straightforward. In fact, the two guys from 1st4HotTubs (Kenny & Ross) who deliver for Canadian Spa to our part of the country, were amazing and made it all look extremely easy. They took time to position the tub exactly where we wanted it, and, having filled it to the required level, went through a detailed tutorial including using the chemicals, adjusting the temperature, cleaning the filters and getting the best from each of the jets. As this was our fist hot tub purchase, we found this tutorial invaluable.
The same evening we enjoyed our first 'soak' and have used it daily ever since, both during daytime hours and at night when the lights come into their own! The controls are simple and very easy to use. The cover can be easily lifted by one person. The speakers sound great and are plenty loud enough. We have mastered the chemicals now that we understand the pH of our local water and how it responds to each of the chemicals - happily it is much simpler than we first thought!
All in all, we would highly recommend Canadian Spa hot tubs. The only real decision is to choose which model suits your particular circumstances!

I recently purchased a Canadian Spa Thunder Bay hot tub from Homebase. I'd never considered one before, however my interest was piqued seeing one on display every time I visited my local DIY store. The Homebase staff were friendly enough during purchase but didn't possess sufficient product knowledge to offer any assistance or advice prior to this regards additional product features, installation requirements and ongoing maintenance. However the point of sale product sheet provided a good overview and I then contacted Canadian Spa direct.
I found them to be very helpful with all my 'newbie' questions and practical advice around pre installation requirements including installation of a concrete base and cable guidance for the electrician to set up the cabling prior to the hot tub delivery and installation.
The actual installation went smoothly via Canadian Spa again with helpful friendly advice given to get up and running. The installation took around 5 hours overall and once filled to the correct water level I was shown what chemicals to add and subsequently use to maintain the water quality.
Setting the right water balance took a few goes to get this correct and I was advised to let this settle overnight. Ongoing it requires a mix of daily and weekly maintenance but once you've done this a few times it's relatively straightforward. The following day I took my first relaxing plunge confirming it's now my new favourite garden feature!
- Mr Dyer

The spa arrived yesterday and it all went very smoothly. Very pleased with the result and we have not stopped using it since.
Many thanks for your help - Ralph

Hot tub great. Thank you for getting it all sorted out for us, your customer service is excellent.
Thanks - Ron

Firstly, thanks to Dave and Tony for so promptly dealing with my enquiry, left to the last minute as normal, with the threat of a ruined teenage daughters birthday party! You saved my bacon there! Purchase went as smooth as silk, no hidden extras, really pleased with competitive price for what I would describe as a superior quality product.
The delivery team were first rate, phone call to advise of delivery time, another call when they were nearby, spot on lads who were helpful and even though I had gone for delivery to site but not having it installed as I felt capable of doing that, the delivery guys gave me some on site tips, etc.
The spa was up and running within an hour of it being delivered, and got very well used over the next few days, simple to operate and is proving to be extremely popular with all the family and a few friends who seem to suddenly want to come round more!
Top notch service from a top notch company. Also in looking at chemicals / filters etc, they seem very competitive on prices. Thank you Team Canadian spa, a big thumbs up from me.

First of all a big thanks to your 2 guys who delivered the tub, they were first class, didn't complete until about 8.00 in the evening, great commitment. Your company delivered within 24 hours of order to our local store, again first class. I've got my electrician wiring Friday am, can't wait to try over weekend. After watching the TV program on tubs you can see the quality of a Canadian Spa. The G2 looked like a bit of large Tupperware.
- Mr Butterfield

I would just like to write about the wonderful service received from the Canadian spa company from the very first phone call with Tony to the delivery of my hot tub and gazebo (with a choice of delivery days including weekends). It was all put together beautifully by a very professional team. I have got to say it was money well spent. I suffer with a bad leg and the jets work a treat on it giving it a nice massage :-)
So whether you want to just relax in the hot tub or have friends over for a few drinks and a dip it's a perfect extra to our lifestyle. Would definitely be recommending the Canadian spa company to all my friends and family.
Thank you for all your help !!! :-) :-) - From a very satisfied customer xx

From start to finish the Canadian spa company were extremely helpful and provided a top quality service. Our sales person made sure we bought the hot tub that suited our needs, we even arranged a test soak before we bought.
I've been very impressed with the follow up as well. Xavier called us after installation to check everything went well and he has even helped us with water chemical control as it can take a little while to get it right.
The delivery of the tub again provided an excellent service. It was a tight fit for delivery of the tub, but the knowledge was invaluable. As the for Tub itself we bought a Thunder Bay and it's AMAZING! My back has never felt so good, perfect size for the whole family and fitted in nicely. It's well insulated so actually is quite quiet, would definitely recommend the hot tub.
- Kellie & Lol

It has been one month since we took delivery of our new Thunder Bay spa and we are very happy with the service that we received and delighted with the product – it has been used most nights by our 3 children and an ever increasing band of their friends.
Thank you - Alex

Loving the hot tub! Thanks so much to you and all members in your team. Please could you pass on my thanks to everyone and I would also like to say how impressed I am with the service and attitude of every person that works for Canadian Spa. You made what could have been a very stressful situation stress free! Both installation teams were fantastic and very nice guys. They all went beyond their duty and helped me move bits (which we should have done prior to their arrival) and put everything back for us.
I will be highly recommending you to anyone who is considering getting a spa. I wouldn't use another company now after the level of customer service you have given us.
- Clare Sexton

After researching which spa to purchase we decided on a Thunder Bay Spa from Canadian Spa as it offered good value for money with many extras that other spas didn’t have.
After a very prompt delivery we noticed that it seemed to be more noisy than we thought it should be. We contacted the company who sent out a engineer within a few days. He found that the motor was vibrating against a pipe and repositioned it within a few minutes. The engineer was very helpful, polite and friendly, spending time explaining how to adjust the water clarity and any other queries we had. Since the spa has been running correctly we have been enjoying many relaxing times.
The quality, value for money and the customer service is second to none and we would have no hesitation in recommending one to any of our friends
- Glyn Morgans

I did lots of research from lots of different spa providers and when I weighed up the risks of buying from other providers and dissecting reviews, I decided to buy from Canadian Spa.
I shopped around and got a great deal from Homebase for a Thunder Bay hot tub, but as with all big purchases was apprehensive about both the fitting and the after sales as you just never really know until it arrives.
The site for my tub was an absolute nightmare for the fitters, who drove down from Scotland to Newcastle to fit it (Matt is the man by the way). As you can see by the photos it had to be brought in to my garden from a park, removing fence panels up a metal ramps, then reposition the ramps to haul it up onto my deck which means that I step out of my back doors and jump straight in. The fitters were absolutely fantastic and as the heavens opened and the, wait for it, SNOW! Yes, snow! Pouring from the heavens; they cracked on, filled it and commissioned it and did the induction… Class.
The spa is simple to use, when you get the hang of the chlorine etc, it’s a breeze. Using it! Not kidding, I have my one hour every night (midweek) when wife watches the soaps and I listen to some music and plan things, etc… Very relaxing... The same again at the weekends.
Great buy, and would definitely recommend Canadian Spa by the way.
- Sean

The spa has given us valuable family time and helped create some fantastic memories this summer. The customer service, advice and delivery were brilliant. The deluxe chemical kit has everything you need to keep you going and you only need to top up on the test strips. Xavier answered all my emails promptly and honestly before and after buying the spa.
I would highly recommend Canadian Spa, they still believe in customer service and the actual Thunder Bay Spa is amazing. As this is our first spa, I was concerned with the maintenance, however it is easy to look after... (thanks to advice from Xavier and also the delivery guys who helped me write an idiot's daily guide to adding chemicals to keep the balance right).
Thank you all - Julie

Just wanted to say thank you for the Thunder Bay spa. We have been using it a lot over the last few weeks since installation and has been thoroughly enjoyed by all. The spa is working very well and is also quiet when running and heating. We find that the Economy mode set for only 2 hours to come on in the morning and evening is normally enough to keep the spa at the right temperature. I though I would also send you a picture of this in place and we have just had a new patio and added a new gazebo surround which does make an attractive view of the spa.
- Robert

Just a short note to say how impressed I was with the whole process of buying my Thunder Bay. Communication was excellent. Your delivery team were great and especially when explaining how to use the chemicals. Within a day we were in the hot tub enjoying it.
Many thanks again - Simon
