'Purple Flame' Iris is a native perennial with an unparalleled display of vibrant, eggplant-purple foliage, resembling a mesmerizing sea of flames. This vibrant foliage is followed by a profusion of stunning flowers, ranging from deep violet to white, with striking yellow blotches on the throat. Beyond the captivating foliage, 'Purple Flame' has a richer, more intense color throughout the plant, setting it apart from other Iris versicolor varieties. The large, open flowers provide an easy feeding platform for hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators. It thrives in moist soil, making it an ideal choice for planting along the edges of ponds, streams, and rain gardens.
