Black Swallowtail (Pachliopta kotzebuea)

• Wingspan: 2 1/2 inches
• Origin: Philippines

The Black Swallowtail (also known as Pink Rose) is as deep in color as the night with just a hint of vampiric blood red. It has an opaque black upper side with a splash of red on the abdomen while the underside has a red "bitemark" pattern on the hindwings.
