This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Norfolk, Connecticut-based artist John Funt entitled Lanterns and Peonies, 2026. Featuring a vintage wood frame chosen by the artist specifically for the painting.

From the artist: "I love the glow of lanterns in paintings, particularly the way my idol Sargent treated them. In this painting hangs a mixture of Noguchi, Venetian bronze and flowered Chinese. I imagined them as a constellation over a jar of full-blown peonies."
